motorcycles?

Does anyone here have a motorcycle? I have a 1990 Suzuki Katana 600. If I drive conservatively I can get about 55 MPG. Just wondering if anyone else rides.

I am also interested in the Honda CBR125R and the 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250 (redesigned). I sat on both of them at the Toronto Motorcycle show a few weeks ago. I like them because they are getting 70+ MPG. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with these bikes.

I use my motorcycle to commute to work (44 km one way) from March to November. I really like my motorcycle and am going to keep it for a long time (I am currently getting the frame/swing arm ready for powdercoating). It would be nice to have one of the smaller motorcycles for commuting.

Doug: I owned a Ninja 250 for just over 2 years. I could pull 80 mpg (imperial) or about 67 mpg (US) riding conservatively on secondary roads (80 km/h)

Not at all designed for efficiency, either. (A larger rear sprocket would help reduce rpm - they were available aftermarket, too.)

I bought it mainly because I wanted to learn to ride. After that though, I realized that it didn't really suit my needs and I sold it.

I don't commute for work, and I have the car for crummy weather, so I found it was
competing with my bicycle for local trips! Once that light bulb went on, it wasn't too long before the for sale ad was placed.

I really wish I worked closer to home so I could ride my bicycle/or walk. I have always liked the Ninja 250, and the new redesign is really cool. It kind of looks like the new Ninja 600. The fuel mileage really appeals to me.
