Audi do their take on range-extending with the A1 e-tron
Audi have launched at the Geneva Show their newest car in the e-tron range. Based on the sound to be launched a1, Audi have used a 254cc (chamber cc) wankel rotary engine mounted in the boot to provide the charge to li-ion 'T cell' mounted under the rear seats. the control electronics and motors are up front were the regular A1's grubby bit would normally sit.
the car kicks out roughly 100hp, can break sixty in just over 10 seconds and weighs in at roughly 2600lbs http://www.cartype.com/pics/7960/sma...cutaway_10.jpg http://www.cartype.com/pics/7960/sma...cutaway_10.jpg http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/au...03-02-10-7.jpg http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/au...03-02-10-4.jpg |
