1995 Toyota Tercel Coupe

1995 Toyota Tercel Coupe,
1.5 5efe engine
4 Speed Manual
116,xxx mi.

Excellent little survivor Toyota, and I am only the second owner! Car is totally rust free, lived it's life in Portland Or. before landing in Texas. Runs like a top and burns absolutely no oil. I've added a front Paseo stabilizer bar with poly bushings for added stability, and performed a thorough cleaning inside and out. This car was optioned new without A/C and with manual steering with ultimate economy in mind. This car has only done 5500 mi. a year over it's life!

Brand new:
Oxygen sensor (Denso:Upstream)
Dual electrode spark plugs (NGK)
Oil change 10w30 (Purolator filter)
Paseo front bucket seats
oem Quick release trunk pull
oem front cup holders
Driver's side exterior door handle

Clean Texas title in hand.

Hey, I'm in Austin! Wasn't really planning to buy a car, but...

What kind of mpg do you get? Can you take a picture of the interior? What's a reasonable price?

Sorry for the delay in response, I am taking a trip out to Belton tomorrow and will check the mileage during that trip and report back an accurate measurement. I will also snap some more detailed pics of the car for you all.

Asking price: $2500.00

Thanks for the welcome!

Well I managed to make it out to Belton TX today for a mpg run and a visit to the Bell County Flea Market!

I filled up in Austin (87 octane) and proceeded to Belton along I-35N. I would say driving was about 85% highway and between 65-75 mph there and back. All four tires were at 45 psi.

When I got back to Austin and filled up again, I was excited to see what sort of economy the Tercel was producing since this is the first time I have ever tested it. I plugged the numbers a couple times and ended up with the same conclusion:

50 mpg over 125 miles!

I am absolutely astonished at this result! I do have to say that I have been adding small amounts of MMO to the fuel whenever I fuel up. Helping?

I also snapped some pics of the car along the way as requested. (Beagle not included).

I'm honestly tempted. It looks good, the mpg sounds excellent. I can guess what the S.O.'s opinion will be, though.

Man, that would be fun to buy and toss a GT15 on. No funds though. Darn.
