A couple years ago I could buy a new car battery for $28. Now the cheapest cheapy I can find costs $55.

Bah, they weren't worth $28, I don't know what makes them think they're worth $55. :D

Lead is slowly starting to drop, I hope prices go back down to the 1990's levels AKA a Trojan T145 is somewhere north of $200 lately I would love to see them back to $65, price of lead kills EVs.

$199. - up to about $350. each for my City-el (4 batteries). Die-Hards are almost Dead-Hards. All I can do is hope they go cheaper. I don't think that US stimulus can be used on an EV that old.

Damn! $350/kWh is what they used to quote huge shipments for... With a BMS/charger included this is crazy cheap!
