As good as JB Weld is...I don't believe it will be a secure method of securing the bolts to attach yer belly pan to. Keep in mind that these bolts will be subjected to more than just vertical forces as the belly pan will exert more forces than up and down.

I would see what available attachment points are available under yer vehicle now. Even using some bracing or brackets you can attach the belly pan to. I ended up using existing fasteners or holes in my truck frame to attach a framework to. To remove my belly pan only requires the removal of a minimal number of fasteners.

Very nice. Thanks for posting it. I like the simplicity and finish, but it must have been heavy. Did you ever take it past the rear axle and spare tire? Every bolt it with security bolts to "discourage the CAT thieves"?

Guys, how about using the template on the underside of the car, does it make any theoretical sense?
I don`t want to lower my car but want better aerodynamics, so I was thinking something like this


I was thinking of bending some coroplast and putting it on this way, its height somewhere around a good inch. Am I a total idiot or does it make any sense?

The main belly pan is the heaviest part...I'm guessing about 40lbs? The key to my setup is the 3 sections (engine/front belly pan, main belly pan, rear belly pan) and the crossbeams.

Yes, I've built a rear belly pan (initially called a rear axle pan) and an adjustable rear diffuser section as well as rear skirts. The rear belly pan and rear diffuser build starts on page 6 of my thread. I've even added an extension to my rear diffuser.

I didn't use any security bolts yet as this is still a trial setup. We'll see about that in the future.

The template would only make sense under the vehicle if the airflow was clean and smooth. The airflow under the vehicle would be disturbed with the ground as well as the tires/engine/low hanging parts.
