Driving the turbo Rabbit

I got to say, boost is addicting and makes driving so much fun.

The car is a 1979 VW Rabbit with a full custom turbo kit hand built by me. My buddy and I actually built up the car quite a few weeks ago but this is the first time Ive really been able to put some miles on it. My buddy took my civic to Colorado and I was handed the rabbit's keys for a week

The car runs great, boost set to 7psi and spool is pretty instant. The car currently is getting about 20mpg driven hard and boosting pretty much everywhere, lol. I think the stock car was rated somewhere around 23city, 29 highway but i haven't been able to find the exact specs.

The best part is pulse and gliding with EOC in a loud turbocharged car, people around you dont know what the hell is going on, haha.

Anyway, its a success story for me because even vw Rabbits need some loving sometimes

haha, the drone does get to you after awhile. But the whirring sound makes people smile

And actually i'm looking for some rubber hangers right now to mount a magnaflow.

If it were my car I would have made a 2.5 inch full exhaust with cat and a 3" E-cut, best of both worlds.
