Best ATF to use in 4T45E transmission?
 

So my wife hit a big rock in the road that destroyed her transmission pan and the trans lost all its fluid... I have to replace the pan and gasket, I figure I’ll want to replace the filter too while I’m in there, but what about the fluid? Got any good recommendations for a good low friction ATF?

At a minmum Dextron III, the cost goes up from there. I would refill with what it had to verify proper operation.

I’m pretty sure it was previously filled with Dex VI; I’m surprised nobody has researched which brand has less friction?
