I.D. this car
My great grandmother and my mother in a US make sedan in the mid 1950s. What is it?

I defer to you, the rear fender chrome trim is different.
The 54's Plymouth Plaza/Savoy/Belvedere replaced the Cranbrook name. |

I drove a '53 Plymouth convertible for a few months. I sold it because I didn't like the way it handled. Since then I've learned about wheel alignment. 
I got a '58 Beetle convertible instead.  |

Nope. You can see how the fender is integrated into the door- the cut line runs right through it.
I'm thinking '47 Chevy.
