Best product for removing tree sap?
Just bought a used car and apparently it has some gummy tree sap on its hood in little spots. Any ideas or tips appreciated!

If it has been there a while, probably dawn dish soap. And you'll want to wax afterwards.
The easy way would be take it through the carwash until it comes off. |
I'd like to know too, though more for my windshield than anything. Being glass, I could probably get away with using whatever chemicals...

Goo-Gone or Goof-Off or actual tree sap remover.

Any proprietary bug and tar remover should get most of it but it will depend on how long it has been there as to how much effort is required.
My choice though, would be a clay bar and associated sprayed on lubricant. I haven't found a noticeable difference between brands. It works on glass - also plastic and chrome - as well as paint. |
Chain saw.
