Best tank to date 32mpg!

I just got my best total tank milage to date at 32mpg! I don't know what made the difference as I haven't made any changes as of yet. Maybe the fact that it was 95% highway miles had something to do with it? Not bad for a bone stock Ford Ranger 2.3L/5sp.manual. Maybe I finally got the tuning right on my right foot :) After seeing those numbers I am on the hunt for some coroplast for my first project (wheel gap fillers). I'm glad it's election time again and all those signs will eventually have to come down. I just had to share my good news with someone who would actually "get it" as my wife and kids don't. Thanks.

Wow! Great job!

I'm trying to get to 30 mi/gal still and I have a Ford Contour. I can't let a TRUCK beat me. I see a long trip in my future...

Where do you collect the signs after the election? Do you just take them down from their places after the vote? I could use some coroplast...

I haven't collected any myself as of yet, but friends of mine that use the coroplast for making storage bins for garages and other household projects have. They told me to go to the local party headuarters (dem/rep/GREEN  ) and ask I could help them take down signs after the elections. They can always use the help and don't mind giving the stuff away. Sometimes my friends just ask the home owners what they are going to do with their signs after election time and offer to take them away when they are finished with them. They said this approach works well with businesses because they seem to have the larger signs, sometimes even the full sheet size.

There are so many uses for the stuff. They make milk carton sized storage bins out of 2 layers of coroplast glued together, recycling bins for indoor use, bins for copy/shredded paper in thier office buildings, little storage crates for CD's and computer disks, and whatever else they can think of. They would rather see it used again than end up in the landfill.
