Hybrid trike from PSA Group

This has four wheels, but the rear wheels are mounted far enough inboard to consider it a trike. It will do 40mph on battery power or 80mph on full hybrid power, according to the article. Alas, no plans to import it to the States. More at the link.

I don't see the appeal. But then, I'm skeptical about the performance at the edges of the envelope, like a crosswind in an off-camber corner.

Leaning three wheelers like the Toyota can have the super aero minimal frontal area of a a two wheeler with an enclosed cabin. 300 mpge at 70 mph would be feasible with a truncated streamlined design
