Hi Everyone,

I followed a link from PriusChat about a recent hypermiling event
and quickly saw that this would be a very useful and friendly place
to pick up ideas about aerodynamic mods. I'm mostly a reader at
CleanMPG.com (fewer posts so I can almost keep up), occasional
reader at PriusChat (too much to keep up), and now, hopefully an
occasional reader here.

Just checking in, but please pretend I'm not here. :)

Are you referring to the MPG Rally at Kimball's; sponsored by Acton Toyota? It was a good time, and the seminar that Wayne Gerdes gave was very good. I was the guy with the Scion xA; I came in fourth...

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, I was referring to the MPG rally and Gerdes presentation at Acton Toyota on the 15th. My wife and I attended primarily to hear Wayne speak. Sadly, we cut our stay short.

You did great with your XA! Your hypermiling skills must not be too shabby. The Jetta was pretty impressive, too, though I'm confused by the name posted on the results white board (Ken Snowman) versus the notes posted here (JethroBodine).

I enjoyed the photos you posted in the Acton Toyota event topic. Thanks for sharing.

A stretch goal for me is to see what simple mods I can do to help out my aerodynamically dirty Mercury Mariner Hybrid. I'm fairly comfortable with the hypermiling techniques I picked up at CleanMPG.
