Which grill is more aerodynamic?
Attached are two different Sequoia grills: the stock one and the TRD grill. Which do you think has a better aerodynamic profile?

Whichever one is cheaper, modifiy it. Neither one looks better than the other to me. If that's your truck then maybe sell the TRD grill and buy a stock one if there is a good difference in price.

They're at the stagnation point. Their function is to divide the air flow between external and internal. The effect on the external flow will be minimal. If there is a difference internally, it will be minimal compared to a grille block.

Looks like it'll be easier to stuff pipe insulation into the stock grille. So I'd pick that one.

They're the same size opening roughly so they're likely indistinguishably the same aerodynamically.

I currently have the stock grill. I was thinking about getting a different one, but now I'm not going to.

If the Toyota has automatic grille shutters, it may make no significant difference which grille is chosen.
The 1956, Colin Chapman / Frank Costin, Lotus Mk-Eleven inlet would remain the chosen technology.
Low forward stagnation point.
Airtight ducting to and from.
Alberto Morelli extractor locations, with flow velocities matched to those of local outer flow.

Would the extractors be somewhat limited to a specific speed range for optimum flow or can you make edterior mods to regulate that flow?

The automatic shutters can be at the grill or at the extractor[s], ala P-51 Mustang.

I know flow rates relate to drag amounts, but I was specifically asking if speed alters the morelli drag coefficients.
