Brake Light Bulbs (LED worthwhile? Where to buy?)

I am going to replace several brake light bulbs. Most of the chain auto parts stores like AutoZone and Oreily do not sell or source LED bulbs. I have seen some 12V LED brake bulbs from a google search. Where do you get LED bulbs and is this good choice versus traditional tungsten/filament bulbs????

Their site is pretty bad, as a starting point avoid the clusters of what look like normal LED's, they are dim and worthless, I have a box full of them and would never put them back in a vehicle.
The 3 watt LED"s that I have in my car are really bright, brighter then the stock bulbs but they look to be replacing them with the cluster type that have the square chips with a clear or yellow dot in the center, I have a home LED bulb replacement that has that style of LED and it's blindingly bright, their specs also seem to give a higher lumin output per watt for that square chip style LED, twice the price but 3 times the light output?

I've played with this stuff.. pretty fun. Don't skimp on the brake lights though.. the 1W~5W are good for side markers, for the big ones buy those expensive bright ones. Even turn signals I got some burly ones. To do up my whole car cost about $200.

If your on a budget -- replace the running lights first. These are the lights that are always on when the headlights are on. If your a good hypermiller then you aren't using your brakes so saving energy there won't make much difference.
If you replace turn signal lights you may have to replace your flasher. Older flashers are only designed for older bulbs.
If you pull one of the bulbs out does your "flashing" rate go up? If so you have an older flasher and will need a new one.
I bought my bulbs from the web site you showed.
