Building A Velomobile
This is a thoroughly awesome build thread, showing how to make a custom velomobile:
The Recumbent Bicycle and Human Powered Vehicle Information Center http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page2.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page3.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page4.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page5.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page6.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page7.htm http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/wian...bile/page8.htm Pages 9 and 10 appear to be MIA. It's all there, step by step by step. Foam egg crate formers with foam skin and overlaid fiberglass - sounds familiar! Good fiberglass techniques on display here, too. |
He used coroplast on page eight! :)

I have a new bicycle.
. . http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...45140361_n.jpg . . And soon it will look something like this with a blown oval dome nose, larger hard tail shaped trunk, and stretch fabric skin. . . http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...55749367_n.jpg . . Then it will get a Crystalyte HS3540 hub motor and 27 A123 Amp20 cells for 40 miles at 40 mph at 40Wh per mile (850 mpge). |
Combine that with an E bike kit And some bigger batteries (or more) and you could have yourself a serious personal electric vehicular...
Edit* sorry, just looked through the other pages.. |
