Trabant nT- electric?

I just signed up for the newsletter on the new Trabant - Trabi. Questions were made about an electric motor and distance when I signed up. Interesting design- a cross between a Chevrolet Vega station wagon (they were 2-door) and a Mini Cooper. I think it will only be electric!

By the proportions, size and shape of windows etc, it looks like they took a mini clubman and swapped some body panels. Neat trick.

Not very aerodynamic but extremely useful in back! I clicked on the photo and it did not enlarge very much. No direct side views were available on the Trabi home page. It seems to have back seat headrests.

Ah, it's not the classic, two-stroke polluter, plastic soapdish East German Trabant, but a new electric that sort of resembles it. But it should have a smoke generator in the back and speakers that make the 2-stroke noise, THAT is what made the Trabant what is was. Actually, what it still is, as I still see them occasionally on the streets, and I don't mean the late-production ones with a VW Golf engine.

BTW: I read today that nobody has found an ecological way to recycle the plastic body of the old Trabi.
