Saw this on the way home last Tuesday..
nice work.. |
Sweet!

Start cutting and tweaking 6061 -T6 aluminum angles, a couple of 4'x8' sheets of clear lexan and a box of Rivnuts. Medium-toothed band/jigsaw blades, so you don't clog up.

Nice and simple.

Nice catch. Maybe a lurker in our midst. CarloSW2 |
looks pretty clean
good find |
Looks a bit like mine. Straight to the top of the tailgate.
Too steep an angle, I'd bet. |
Sweet sighting!

Assuming 80" bed I'd guess 15 degrees. http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...3&d=1289429103 That may be too steep for reattachment as Big Dave suggests. (Tufts would be wicked easy to do given transparency.) Regardless, it beats open bed, and cannot be worse than flat tonneau. Looks like good bang for the buck to me. ABA data would be the icing. Good find, Chris.
Wonder if he'll come out of the woodwork now... |
Good find :)
I want to know how bad it is to see sideways out of that cap. If I make a boat tail I was thinking of making the top half look like that. How bad is the transition from top to sides??? Where in MN was this? I will be in the Rochester + twin cites area on Friday -Sun. I Might need to keep an eye out for this sweet truck :) |
It was southbound 494 near/around Eden Praire.. right around 3:35pm..
I don't think it would be very hard to see out or it, much easier than any camper shell for sure.. |
