Calling Metro owners

What block heater will work on our cars? I have looked at a couple and the ones I have seen don't look like they would work. And wanting one around 250-300watt.

MetroMPG was able to get one installed. I have yet to figure out a proper method. I do have that long cord that keeps house water pipes warm and thought if installing that somehow.

I have 2 on my car: the OEM unit, which is a bolt-on external element type, is about 300 watts, if I recall. It warmed the engine (or at least the coolant temp sensor) about 40-50F above ambient at 30F.

I also bought & installed a 800w inline tank convective heater.

Guess which one I use most?

The tank heater? I read the review and it seems to raise the temp the most, now to find one.

I'd be interested in obtaining a couple myself. I'll start looking too.
