"Clever" Electric Car

I was just browsing the web today and I came across some electric cars that I hadn't seen before. I have seen other Smart car cloned electric vehicles on Ebay but never all in one place and never located in the US.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

At only $7,000 new, that $2,500 tax incentive makes this a pretty good deal, right? I'm just a casual fan of electric vehicles and haven't ever owned one.

WITH PEDDLES...

Why is it so hard to use spell check?

I love the "Electric Genius Cars"...

One of them was actually a 4kwh system that could do 45mph for 50 miles. That's not too bad. Tax incentives, if they are still available, require street cars to be at least 4kwh systems. Neighborhood cars, from what I was reading, don't have a power requirement but you only 10% of the cost of the vehicle.

I'm going to keep looking into this. I only have a 6 mile commute to work and I have too many vehicles. Maybe selling them all off will net me an electric.

I'd buy this:

ZSM GS 250

Yeah, the Zongshen is a pretty sweet little bike... but it's not electric.

That's Ok with me, it's still rated better than a similarly equipped sport bike of the same MY.

I do rather like the reverse trikes they have, as well. Not sure if any of those have an e-option as yet.

Also, they have a non-e 1 wheeled scooter that could be sweet with a fish body enclosure, and I bet it would do great with Lithium and a small e-motor, like 2HP.

Not many of those are in CA. - maybe only 4 or 5. They have a pretty good selection, I sure wish we had an outlet here, but due to safety or pollution issues - some are not allowed (like some sort of cc size problem or a Zap knockoff). That Smart knockoff was available on Craigslist a few years back, but I think they had an infringement, safety or insurance problem in CA. so they vanished.

However- I think the rental shop we have in my town has 10 3-wheel vehicles from that sales address.

Maybe because to catch that, you'd need a "spell checker" that's smart enough to understand the context of what you're writing, and know that you were discussing the pedals in the car, and not the sales force which peddles it.

James -

Ok, there's one possibility, but then I'd have to ask why it's so difficult to proof read what you type, even without the use of spell check.

This especially applies to those people who would be trying to sell expensive goods... lack of proper grammar use is usually an indicator of scam artists and the like... why would a company want to be associated in such a way?

Do you know of any complaints or comments specifically regarding the place that I'm looking at? I know it's kind of a shot in the dark, but if you are familiar with a few vehicles from the listed seller maybe you've heard comments through the grape vine.
Either way, these small boxes can't be that much different than a nice golf cart. If something goes wrong mechanically, I should be able to fix it and if something goes wrong electrically, an electrician should be able to assess the damage, right?

I think spell check is in fact a big part of the reason that a lot of people don't bother to proofread. They think spell check is supposed to catch all the errors, write? Wright? Right!

And then there's general stupidity. Some of the web sites set up for marketing new products are a positive disincentive: no information, just fancy graphics & effects that just waste my time & annoy me even when they're supported by my browser.
