Petroleum reserves (please translate to english since it's in portuguese) :

https://super.abril.com.br/mundo-est...oleo-no-mundo/

Saudi Arabia estimation it's about last for more 67 years
Russia for 22 years
Brazil 18 years
EUA 7 years ---- How will this affect EUA economy ?

Irac have huge reserves, despite not as much as Saudi Arabia, but production it's very lower, so estimation it will last for more than 150 years.

Worldwide estimation it's about 40 years, but maybe new extraction tecnics arrive. For other side the consume it's rising with population growing and with industrialization rise of poor countries.

My question. What percentage of petroleum consume it's the consume of automobiles and trucks ?
If electric car get cheap and popular, and replace combustion engine, petroleum will last longer and would help keep airplanes (jet engine) transportation.

Yes, it is adjusted for inflation, and given in 2015 real (adjusted for inflation) dollars.

Old-timers talk about cheap fuel, such as a quarter for a gallon, but I started driving when it was the cheapest ever (in the US) in 1998. Gasoline was $0.99 per gallon. I'd fill a motorcycle, pay $5, and get change back. I'd fill the VW bug, pay with $10, and get change back. I'd fill the v8 Dodge van, pay $20, and get change back.

Where do you think people living near sea level will go, as sea level rises?

They will stay near the ocean, just like the majority of the population has for the last 10,000 years.

They stayed near the ocean because that's where their fields were. Before the mechanization most people were farmers. And most farmland is at low altitude, close to the sea.
Much of that will be gone. Obesity will be a thing of the past.

But the low-lying farmland, or what remains of it, is already in use. So they have no choice but to go further.
You can farm higher up, but it requires more work to prepare the land, rid it of trees and rocks, build terraces etc., depending on the terrain.
A Leaf with a trailer can be handy to help them.

Most of the illegal immigrants don't even want to stay here.
The middle of the country here has thousands of square miles of farm land that sits at least 1,000 feet above sea level.
Sea levels have been on the rise for the last 14,000 years or so and it hasn't caused a dent in the number of fat people.
If anything the warmer temperatures have caused it.

Sea level rose about 1 meter in the last 2000 years, 30% of it in the last fifty years or so.

Put 50 meter on top of it then half the world population gets dislocated, and one third of farmland destroyed, all ports flooded, etc.
Hope that won't happen.

The people on your land would have nowhere else to go. They aren't illegal immigrants either. They could be New Yorkers. One may have orange hair.

In my counbtry petroleum (international price) it's one thing and gasoline it's another, both in different universes. When petroleum rises gasoline rises, even Brazil being self sufficient on the production. But when petroleum goes down gasoline do not.

I would rather have Islamic state running around than people from new York City.
