Closer look; 2010 F350 4x4 Pick-Up Truck
I took some close up photos of a F-350 in a parking lot recently. I found some of the details interesting. I have no idea how any of these changes have affected the Coefficient of Drag from previous years though.

Oh... and clearly can't be bothered to wipe up the spilled fuel from carelessly topping off... And it's and F-150... not 350 ;) |
The sides of the top grille are perfectly shaped for some easy grille blocks. Funny how much wheel gap they throw in there to make it manly. My F100 tucks its rear tires... how styles change, eh?

Opps, my bad it is a F-150 not a F-350.
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps34a43229.jpg I was most curious about the lack of spoiler coverage over the front tires. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps5dc49f28.jpg On my 1976 Econoline Van back in 1983 I made a huge chin spoiler. The sheet metal was only so long, and I tapered in inward very much as on the F-150 shown above. I had my reasons, but I have no clue as to what Ford's reasons are. |
