This is a big reason I come to this forum.

Not sure if a purely accelerometer based unit is going to be accurate.

I'd rather use Torque Pro (using the actual speedo drive), which even has data logging available.

Probably quite poor on the ROI scale.

It's not.

There's a reason we switched to V-Boxes for automotive testing. Quite cost effective, and the results, given a 20Hz refresh rate, are about as close as you can get to laser accuracy with devices mounted on moving vehicles.
