Coefficient of Drag for Selected Vehicles
I recently located this site again after misplacing the link...
I figured it might help some Ecomodders out. The Gent that runs it is a Bonneville Speed Racing type.. Enjoy. The Mayfield Company Homepage - Coefficient of Drag Tables and Curves |
If they are 100% right, they'll help a bunch.
OMG the Chevrolet Lumina's drag is .300...impressive. |
Yes, I have a '91 Nissan 240SX Fastback in the garage as my "toy" car... I should be using that as a Ecomodder, but it is not stock... ;)
That has a factory 0.300 as well... |
I was thinking about getting a 240SX for my next car. I bet I could bring it down to .28. :)
It says a 92 Tempo GLS has a Cd of .36.. Ouch. That's a generation up from mine, though. The front and rear ends were redesigned, and that was about it aerodynamically. |
Hey, no Peugeots!!
Good find, Bow:) Would we need Mayfield's permission to incorporate their list into EcoModder's Drag List? And here's is the relevant thread: CdA list |
both lists are missing drag coeffcients for KIAs newer than 2005 (1994 actually) but drag coeffcients for newer/recent kia models would be appreciated
|
Much of the data is estimated, we've talked about this before, it's older than the hills, take it with a grain of salt.
