Converting 4wd to 2wd hybrid?

I think Lexus or or one of the auto mfr's did something like this... But not for driving, it was used for traction control....

great idea put motors on all those shafts
remove center section of independant rear install double shaft motor with over running clutches in shafts eliminates all rear gear losses old subaru would work great |
