cougar assembly: OK to re-orient M-minus bus bar?
Hello everyone - I plan to assemble the power section of the Cougar controller very soon. It will be a replacement for a Curtis 1231-C. On the Curtis 1231C, all of the high-current lugs are on the same side of the case.
If I run the Cougar's M- busbar out the same side as the B+ and B- busbars, are there any issues I should worry about? I would want to do this so that the configuration resembles the 1231C; I would avoid the need to make a new M- 2-gauge current cable. Thanks in advance for thoughts and comments. xformbykr (Charlie Eldridge) PS My cougar firmware is working great - version v1.11b. :) A previous post asked about the temperature HS reading. From my outputs, it looks like the 'Kelvin' scale. Here are some guidelines (a) to get 'centigrade' (Celcius), subtract 273. e.g., 297 - 273 = 24 (b) to get Fahrenheit from the Celcius, multiply by 1.8 and add 32: 24*(1.8) + 32 = 43,2 + 32 = 75.2 (deg F). |
Oops, I missed this one! Yes you can have all bars out the same side.
