Best place to start a build thread?

Hello all,

New to the forum and wondering the best location to start a build thread? Looking to mod in several areas i.e. Aero, electrical, mechanical, but wishing to keep a coherent thread with links to the above or vice versa.

Any advice is very welcome.

kind regards

SubSonic

Yes that does seem a little odd considering there 'are' so many here that create such threads? I have been read a lot and every now and then someone will mention a mod which was done in a particular 'build thread' can I find it?? in the end just about - or am I missing something here?

I have seen the Garage, no problem there but to find that members build thread takes ages?

regards

there seems to be different threads in different sections for most of the builds i have followed, with links crossing all over the place, ie a kammback or boattail thread in the aero section, then another thread in the instrumentation section, then engine work in the relevant section, makes following builds kinda difficult :S

Well I can't do anything until summer break when I'll have a bit more time, but I would just link them in my signature.

I'd be tempted to throw it in Ecomodding Central for visibility, though DIY seems a more appropriate place.

Both of those suggestions have merit, attaching 'sub-section links' to your signature is very easy to find particular items of interest, also the DIY section for the overall build thread. Thanks guys you have given me a few ideas there.

kind regards

I agree, it would be great if people would keep their projects in a single thread for continuity and ease of searching. Oh, well.
