Ralph Nader "Unsafe At Any Speed". :)
Else any sanctioning bodies technical requirements. The Edison2 designer, Oliver Kuttner said, "as racers we know a lot about high speed collisions". |

The book "Unsafe at Any Speed" is not technically sound and was repudiated by a government panel of experts including Ray Caldwell. Yes I have driven Corvairs and studied suspension design.

Hence the :)
I wasn't able to forgive Nader for what he did. GM was trying to get to four-wheel independent suspension and they'd already resolved the deficiency but he torpedoed new car sales and forced GM back to the middle of the lane. I've got a swing-axle five speed with Type III drums waiting 'on the bench' right now. |
I went to a lot of Corvair meets when I was a kid. Never felt the slightest bit threatened.

Lincoln "Corvair", seem odd for them to reuse that name.

The jacking of the swing axle is cured by an anti roll bar.
|
Nader for president!
