Cruise control question (anyone recognize this aftermarket unit?)

Hey so my car came with an after market cruise control set up. I took it off a long time ago because honestly I didn't know how it worked. Ok day it just started doing its own thing and almost got me killed sort of. But today I hooked it back up.

My question is has anyone seen this controller before and knows how it works?

That kind of looks like something Dr Who would rely on to travel through space and time, but I wouldn't trust it.

Id look around and see if you can fnd the servo to move the throttle or brain box. Look for an FCC ID then look that up on the FCC ID look up page. That should tell you who made it, there contact info, etc.

By the looks of it, it seems to match the interioor of your 1803 automobile with the tubes in the display.

I agree, that is old. I've installed aftermarket cruise controls in four of my past vehicles, including my present one. Your panel doesn't look like any of them. Even the first one I installed, back in 1987, had LED indicator lights, as have all subsequent ones.

Most aftermarket cruise controls were made by either Audiovox or Equus. I don't know if either company still makes cruise controls. I also recommend finding the control electronics, usually under the hood, to find out who made yours. But I suspect you may not find a label on the outside of the box, or, if you do, it may be damaged or badly faded, judging from the age of your controls.

1987?!? LMFAO!!! Well I did find one that kind of looked like this but still. I pushed all my buttons and the lights didn't come on. I think it's a lost cause. If no one knows anything about this ill probly pull it out.
