Custom gauge pod

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone i am thinking about making a custom gauge pod for the dash and was wondering if you all could help me out and tell me what looks best. In the picture i was thinking about mounting the gauge in the center position if i do a single pod. If i do a double or triple pod should i put the gauges horizontal or vertical? Like in the picture what looks better the gauges going up or the gauges going across the dash? what about just a single pod? thanks for all your help
P.S. I'm also thinking about making a passenger side mirror delete i will let you all know how everything turns out.
P.S.S. The pod is for a vacuum gauge :-)

For a single gauge maybe a mounting on the a-pillar would be best, also keeps it out of the way and usually means not having to drill holes - you can replace the original trim piece back if you move to a new car.

If you want to do it cheap I did see someone had mounted gauges into old tin cans which happened to be the right diameter, and if painted mat black or dark grey looked quite good.

Otherwise there a quite a few 'universal' mounts which could be used or adapted to fit.

Looking at the pic though, could you move the radio to the top or bottom of that section then mount any gauges into a panel there ?
