Let's see. Maybe the rays went through one side of the earth and came out the other side. ;)

There is another cutting edge satellite going up in 2021 that is specifically going to study the suns and the solar winds interaction with the upper atmosphere.
It will give insight to the extent of man's effect on climate change and confirm the suns role.
I am grinning like the chesser cat as I await the results.

That's exactly what happened here. It's also well known neutrinos do this too, since they barely interact with matter at all.

Yeah, the thing is, if the neutrinos went through the Earth, once they reached the other side, they'd just keep on going rather than stopping for silly little particle detectors :-)
