D15z1 and vx owners... Help needed!!!

How do you know when your in leanburn?
What is the criteria for it to engauge?
What rpm and speeds will work and stop?

Thanks!!!

I don't know a lot about this yet but I know you want throttle below 20%, below like 2500 rpm or something.

If you have a scanguage you can tell because the 2nd 02 sensor volts will go to zero. If you don't have instrumentation you have to go by feel which someone else will be better able to explain than me.

Justjohn is right. You also need a warm engine, mostly level road, no strong headwind and an o2 sensor that works properly. Immediately after accelerating to your cruising speed ( below about 65 mph ) you should feel a point where you need more throttle to maintain speed , this is leanbun. You may feel a bit of a stumble just before this happens. After in leanburn if you give it too much throttle, and the car feels it very suddenly gained 20 hp you have lost leanburn. I have some lights and and Mpguino that tells me all this but you don't really need anything at all IF eveything is working as it should . Hope this helps

Thanks, how did you hook up lights??? That is cool!!!

How does a scangauge work with obd1?? (was there a vx obd2?)

I'm on a mostly hilly and windy commute! Damn when I followed a semi one day, going 55mph I got 62.3mpg, the next day (40 mph gusts) I got 40mpg going 70mph... Same route 100miles round trip

I just bought a Wideband o2 gauge, autometer brand, I'm hoping this will wor with my stock 5 wire o2 harness...
