Dead MPGuino Ver 1.1
 

Just wanted some input on this. I got a mpguino from opengauge. (so not a kit but a pre assembled.) And it worked ok.

I had 3 times in the two days I had it up and running that it locked up. (fixed by power cycle.) On the fourth time it did not come back up after the power cycle no backlight no display at all.

Power connection was on a stable clean 12V.

Bad things that I did, was not in a container and touched the backside with fingers a few times. Sat on the dash in the heat of Colorado.
Was checking voltage and accidentally shorted acrost the VR and blew a ground trace. But confirmed that I had 4.93V

As far as I know the pre assembled units have no boot loader for a bootloader problem right? So since I have power should I assume it's a static -> flash death? If so which would be easier / cheaper, buy an adruino to swap flash or build a isp flasher, if isp does anyone have a good write up on it?
