DIY The New Guy

I am looking for helpful advice in modding my '96 Honda Accord EX-VL V6. I have moderate knowledge about cars at best, but I am willing to learn anything I must to get the job done. Everything is stock so I am not sure where to even begin. I'm glad that others share my interests in this subject. Most people from Louisiana I find don't share the enthusiasm that I do about improving efficiency. Any suggestions are welcome and I am hoping to raise my MPG as much as possible. I appreciate your consideration and am excited to hear your responses.
Thanks

Welcome to EM! You've tuned to the right bat-channel! 1996 means you should be able to install a ScanGauge.

Depending on coupe or sedan, it probably looks like these :

I'd start by picking up a scan gauge if you have the cash. That way you can quickly see if an iimprovement helps or hurts.

TheThe first quick and easy mod would probably be blocking that upper grill opening. That would push more air up and over the car. You'll want to watch your temps, but it sure looks like that lower opening takes care of most of the cooling anyway.
