Dodge Cummins from Aspen, CO area
 

Just sold my Toyota V6 pickup and put the money down on a 1997 Dodge 2500 Cummins extended cab long bed. (Phew that was long winded!)

The truck currently has 220k on it and seams to be in pretty good shape.

The seller has put a larger airfilter on the truck and did a few exhaust mods as well.

Other then the Hi-Boy Truck cap pretty much everything is stock.

Mods will most certainly include:

Grille block (upper and lower)
Belly pan 3/4 (possibly full)

So I'm looking for suggestions on what to do with the truck to attain more mpg's

Additionally I have a Maggiolina Grand Tour XL tent on a M101 that I would like to put on the back of this truck.
(Maybe a few photoshop gurus could make the mount more aero so I can vizualize)

Sort of make it an aero lid/tent platform.

I was thinking it would be nice to have the Thule bars on their to raise and lower the tent if I wanted to put a snowmobile or dirt bike back there in the future. Although I'm not sure if one bar can be full up while the other is down...
