...as a poor man's warm air intake?

My Ranger used to get it's intake air from outside the engine bay through the sidewall. I have a complete upper grille block and a partial lower grill block (using the license plate) to keep the engine warm.

Picked up the air filter housing at a pick n pull for $10. I still have the original if this doesn't work out.

If you can't see it the "cap" where the old intake snorkel was is a can of La Prefferida little green chiles. :)

I'm not real good at the pic re-sizing thing so if the Mods want to re-post them to make them more accessible then by all means go ahead.

Had to take with my old phone and then send to mail. Then resize and upload. I know, bad route to take, but at the time it was all I had.
