Found this 'article' interesting. It was in Maxim Sept 2011. THe 1 series BMW are pretty small. THis was commentinging on the 'M' version. 0-6 in 4.7sec twin torbo straight 6. (maybe from the 330?) As you might be aware bmw has a moveable grille block on at least the 5 series. I gues, if your going fast, you want the air going thru the car. if your ecommodding you want it to go around. |

Note those ducts are for brake cooling.
In a track car, speed is worthless if you can't slow down enough to make the turn ! Ecomodders use the brake so little, they never get warm. My vehicles have 135K miles and 168K miles on the factory brakes. Although the Express van is tapping the wear indicators occasionally. |
