DRAG RACING PARTS CAN INCREASE FUEL ECONOMY?

some drag cars and economy cars have a similarity both trying to achive low drag coefficient well some drag cars do generate little bit of downforce for some stability in higher speeds and tend to have have little higher cd due to more cooling (intercooler, and more) but there is also advantage its there weight, they tend to weigh less than OEM look at some examples of civics and lancers.

they do look great
but there is a disavantage if you use one with intercooler or velocity stack people will try to drag race you:eek:

My favorite example would be the Cal Look Beetle

The most typical (and traditional) way to customize the exterior is to change the wheels and lower the front suspension of the car. The favorite wheels are period-style EMPI 5- or 8-spokes, Speedwell BRMs, Mahle "Gas Burners" or satin finish Porsche factory rims like Fuchs from a classic 911. One of the original California look modifications is to replace or remove the bumpers, side trim and vent wing window either to give a cleaner look or to reduce the curb weight; if bumpers are removed, T-bar pushbars are common. The stock bumpers are sometimes painted or powder coated.
Stance, light wheels, T-bars and aerodynamic sport mirror. I always think of it as 'California easy-to-clean'. The side trim catches a lot of dirt.

My own example:

Stanced, Plastidipped wheels and bumpers and 5-panel Wink mirror.

The powder-coated OEM artillery-spoke wheels are on the car now, those Mangel wheels got rusty. Not proud of the front fender.

Well, they are not pressing your gas pedal, so let them fly, while you continue to drive slowly. They will keep the police busy up ahead of you ;)
