EAA SportAir Workshops
For those with limited experience who'd like to get some hands-on training for various aspects of fabrication, check out the above.
They travel the country conducting clinics at local airports and colleges and you learn by doing. I found them at Oshkosh '97 and went on to Abaris in Reno,Nevada for advanced composite training. You'll pay for 'school' but your confidence and experience will put you in good stead for ANY project which might come to mind. Had I had access to a 'kickstarter' like this when I was younger, there's no telling where I'd be by now! |
I have been away, and just found this. Great find and suggestion, Phil.
I have been in the aviation community for many years, the EAA is a great organization. |
