Eco cruise control in SEMA Launch Pad Competition

I posted here a while ago about speed adjusting cruise control (Speed adjusting cruise control for mpg) for better fuel economy. It uses upcoming terrain information to determine how to adjust acceleration and speed to keep the engine load lower (automatic DWL with max/min speed constraints more or less). This is different from instantaneous MPG cruise since we can plan ahead (hence predictive).

I'm happy to say that it has made it into the semi-finals for the SEMA Launch Pad competition. To make it into the finals, I need place in the top 10 in a public vote competition. I know I'm not a regular here, but I thought some of you might be interested and would consider voting for the tech. The link to vote is http://woobox.com/7kkvcd/gallery/H8Wp7Kv0Auw, and includes a 3 minute video about the tech (note: redirects to the SEMA Facebook voting page, I have no knowledge of who votes or views the video).

Real world AB testing has been done on a 2011 Toyota Camry, 2011 Nissan Leaf, and I have a pilot program going on right now with a few more vehicles. In the next couple weeks, we'll be putting it on the dyno at the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, CA, and do some AAA/BBB/AAA testing. We're just working out how to simulate a route.

Thanks,
Richard
