EcoCar 3 Competition
 

This looks interesting... a challenge t 16 universities to make a Chevy Camaro more "eco" whatever that means. It is a four year competition that seems to have just ended year two, with Ohio State winning again. Here they are:

Any idea what they did? They used to do this with a small GM SUV... I forget which one. But it usually involved hybridizing, usually with a plug.

Huh, I thought I had included a link. Here is a bit from autoblog that is better than the competition's own personality-rich website: " This time, EcoCAR officials designed the competition to concentrate on hybrid, hybrid-electric and diesel options."

Kinda bummed that they pushed the teams away from any cosmetic changes simply because "customers don't want cars that look like science experiments."

Bummer.

Well, it is very much the product of a business school culture. Normative.

Marketing both responds to and directs the public's desires. They can train consumers to want more efficient cars, but don't because the profits are higher in trucks and performance vehicles.
