Ecomod my gasoline air compressor

I have rebuilt my old Briggs and Stratton flat head powered air compressor with a Honda gx200.
The zeroth ecomod, just replacing that old flat head with and OHV engine.
The old Briggs and Stratton was just too hard to start.
Best was to start it was with a squirt of carb cleaner.
I got this Honda gx200 back in like 2016 when they were around $400 and used it on my alternator welder.
First eco mod, bigger air tanks. Bought air compressor tanks with all the parts stripped off it for $5 at the tractor auction.
Second eco mod, use the same air compressor.
3rd eco mod the Honda seemed to be running a bit rich, I dremeled the air bleed so I could give it multiple full turns, didn't seem to help. Walk by it and your eyes would burn from the exhaust with the air bleed backed off 6 turns about to fall out.
4th ecomod, pull the main jet in the carb and see if I have anything smaller. It came with a #75 next smallest size I have is a #69. Put in the #69 jet and it runs great. Might pick through my jet collection and see if there's anything smaller. I think there's a #68 and #65 in there.
Eyes no longer burn when walking past the running machine.
5th ecomod advance engine ignition timing. Its a Honda so it ought to have a cd2 ignition coil. Backing the coil off to the max should give me 2 to 4 degrees of free engine timing advance. Factory timing is probably 18 to 20 degrees. Yeah I want more like 30.
Edit, can't find my little box of timing advance keys.

Ecomod my gasoline air compressor
Is the a RFP? It doesn't say I Ecomod my gasoline air compressor.

Bellmouth the air intake like I did my diesel car.

The gas powered compressor I've always wanted is the Dunn-Right.

Properly done this works surprisingly well!. On both the ICE intake and compressor! :)
(Quarter of a 3/1 Ellipse where the 1 is... was it 20% of diameter?)
There's a study about it somewhere. (Sci-Hub helps one find full studies)

Ah!

Another that popped up (unread):

Then there's the intake pipe length that can also be optimized (untested, unread):

Well I did put a 69 then now a 68 jet in the carb, advanced the ignition 6 degrees.
I RTVed larger paper air filters inside the compressor filter housings a few years ago. Clean air is more important than having the absolute highest air flow.

Did you make a thread on this freebeard?
I'm interested to know what results you got, where you sourced the bell mouth, similar mods elsewhere in the intake plumbing?

No, I didn't.

No A-B testing, I just added it and took the picture. Then someone talked me out of the car. :(

The part was cut off an air horn.

Ah! :)
Any 'seat of the pants' difference noticed?

It makes me sad thinking about not having that car. It had a quartz clock in the dash and a five-speed conversion.

:(
But did it make any difference you could notice??

No, but thanks for caring.
