EcoModding Lurker Come-Back! :)
I'm back! Sold my 2 VX 2 year ago and after a quick ride in Volvo Family with an S80 & V50, back in Honda. I buy an Insight 2000 2 week ago! 5 speeds. Leather & heated seats. S2000 leather steering. (Original steering is the same but not leather) This car is mint and not molested. Still look brand new. http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...0&d=1436914067 |
wow! nice collection of cars :-)

Alain, bienvenue... encore! :)
What car did the seats come from? That's not stock for an Insight (I don't think). What is your typical commute like? Friendly for lean burn? I miss mine. Very fun, nerdy car to operate. Darin |
Welcome back, and congrats on the Insight.

Salut! ;)
I travel arourd 100km/day to go work. I live beside 640/337 and work nead 13/520. 90%+ highway. En bonc francais, faut tricotter en sale pour faire du Lean-Burn! Lean-burn is hard ti maintain and almost imposible to do in slight acceleration. My VX was a way more permisive on Lean-Burn. But the weight helps to get great consumption number. The best tank I made on my VX was 3.3l/100km. Worst, 5.74L/100km. Average of 4.94L/100km in 5 year and 142 500km. The insight, when I work hard to stay in lean burn, on a 50km trip, I made 2.2L/100km. "Normal" driving Is more 2.7 to 2.9L/100km. If I dont take care, 3.2L/100km. The car has 215 000km and life time counter is at 4.5L/100km. My friend that sell me this car as it for over 10 year. He is 6'5" and 260 pound. He work at 5 minute of is house and weekend go to his 2nd house 125km away from his home. Car run each season. The seat are original one that has been cover by a shop in US. He send his seat cover because the where the fist insight one he made and sketck them to have a pettern. Here is how they loolnlike. http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...4&d=1436992514 |

Looks really nice. Also nice: low kilometres for a 2000.
What tires are on it? RE92? Any mods planned? A kill switch will make a big difference, since the computer only stops the engine at very low speeds. Considering the car coasts almost forever, you can do a lot of useful engine-off driving, even in highway use. |
