EDM Civic VX ECU 37820-P07-G01

For sale is a European ECU for a Civic VX D15Z1.

This ECU should give a mileage benefit when running at interstate speeds.
From my understanding this ECU will continue to run in lean-burn after the VTEC engages. Unfortunately the highest speed in my area is 65 and is gridlocked more often than not, so I won't be able to benefit from it.

I verified this unit works when tested in my 94 VX. Plugs directly into the factory wiring.

Asking $170 shipped anywhere in the US.

Looking for/welcome trade ideas:

Complete VX 5-wire engine harness

I'm very interested in the ECU

Before I buy this can you point me to the research you found that shows that this ECU keep the car in lean burn mode after vtec-e engades? I would think the engine could run to hot if this was so. I do mostly highway driving. I have a set of VX rims, interested in a partial trade?

The user basjoos has one and details some of the operation in this thread.

He is currently the 3'rd highest mileage user on the forum at 71.41mpg. So there is that.

I only have 1 VX and it came with the proper wheels.

So it seems fuel economy is less at lower speeds, but better at higher speeds. 80% of my driving is under 65 MPH. However, there really isn't a lot of solid research with a stock unmodified car like I have. I do have a VX aluminum alternator bracket if you are interested in that as a partial trade and a federal VX ECU A01 and A00. I may have a spare VX aluminum AC/engine mount bracket.

I actually could use an aluminum A/C bracket. I'd be open to a trade for $120+the bracket.

After searching through the thread... I'm not sure why you concluded there is a MPG penalty on the European ECU at lower speeds.

The ECU is still available, PM me if you are interested.
