Noob here; Nice Site, good info

Hello there,
I'm Dan, living in Fairbanks, Alaska. I happened across ecomodder while looking for economy tuning for my pickup; I know, not exactly an "Eco-car" but it's my DD.
So, after a little lurking here, I've decided to take the plunge, register, and have easier access to the photos, etc, that you guys post. Last night got me thinking, "Once I have the garage built, maybe a Metro or other small car would be a fun project."
So- to spare the reading of separate threads, I'll go post in the History sticky in the Intro forum....
I look forward to some good, and obviously smart, online friends here!
Dan

Welcome aboard. I have a 98 4x4 Chevy pickup myself, but it's a whole lot easier to have something smaller when you don't need the capacity. I only go through 1-2 tanks of gas a month with the truck, but if I did my daily commute (55 miles round trip), I'd be broke. That said, if I only had my little Acura, I'm sure I woulda destroyed the springs long ago (just don't think it was built for 20 bags of Quik-rete). Not to mention, I don't think I could fit a sheet of drywall in the back no matter how hard I tried...
