The Soroses did something right, because I know of them, and they don't know of me.

I appreciate those who gamble on ideas even if I find those ideas foolish. "Money where your mouth is".

Regarding generational wealth, it mostly doesn't survive much beyond the 2nd or 3rd. We'll see if the name Soros is still relevant a decade from now.

Appreciate wasn't the right word. Respect. I have respect for the opposition when they put their money where their mouth is.

George could have had a lifetime of cocaine benders on yacht cruises but went with activism instead. While I think we'd all be better off if he had chosen the former rather than the latter, I don't begrudge a person for their demonstrated conviction.

For the same reason I have respect for Bill, Jeff, Elon, and the Koch Bros. Doesn't mean I think all their efforts are good.
