The article was almost a waste of time except that it informed me that Elon is on the US advisory board.

Maybe I'll put a deposit down to make up 20% of those 5 lost orders.

The wacko left has the same flaw as the wacko right; being wacko.

Musk doesn't support or hate Trump either way. He is just smart enough to realize who is President and who he needs to have a working relationship with. Trump called Musk in. Not the other way around. To get his input as a business man. Because Musk is creating high paying American jobs.

Those anti-Trump smugs who are now boycotting Tesla don't seem to realise this kind of behavior makes conservative people (including white-washed Latinos like me) look at EVs and other advanced energy-saving technologies in general with a higher degree of skepticism.

I am confident of two things:

1. Mr. Musk is not losing any sleep over this.

2. Mr. Musk will sell every Model 3 Tesla he builds.

I wouldn't be surprised if he picks up a few new orders from folks who approve of his working with the President. Dunno if that will happen or get reported on, but people are not as easily categorized into neat "liberal" and "conservative" boxes as some would believe.
