The new Cadillac CT6 has a rear view camera and display:

To meet the requirement of having a rearview mirror, it tilts via the old day/night button and becomes a regular mirror.

Driving up behind one is odd, you don't see the driver's face in the rearview mirror like you are used to, you see the front of your car. Driving one is a bit odd too, people still reach up and try to adjust it, it moves, but the view doesn't change.

I suggest that if you can see the driver's face in the mirror, you're too damn close!

Maybe a bit strong, but offhand I can't remember ever seeing a driver's face in a mirror.

1. When you see the driver of the car in front in your rear view mirror, you definitely got too close.

2. Sometimes (at a stop light, for example) I'll just glance at the rear view mirror of the car in front, and the driver's eyes are LOOKING RIGHT INTO MINE. Anyone else experience that?

Just be glad they do not have a rear-mounted train horn. It sounds like they are looking at you because you are too close.

:D no it isn't that, I'm sure. I could get a lot closer if I tried! But you never know when you'll need room for an 'escape route'.

It's just weird. Your brain is used to getting a glance of the driver's eyes, and you see yourself. It's lit up (it's an LCD screen) so it kind of pops out at you.

Now back to the mirror discussion...

The T-100 dropped from Cd 0.268,to Cd 0.24 with the camera system according to DARKO,so this drag component is not insignificant.
