Euro Civic Sedan wheel skirts
I can't comment on this except to say that I found the photo's over at VWvortex.com/The Car Lounge under a thread titled "You're doing it wrong 3.0." In fact, the skirts seem rather well made, handsome even. It's amazing how much "heavier" they make the car look.

Wow, that is fancy.
I should make some skirts. If I got ambitious, and ran without rear hubcaps, I could make some nice flush-fitting skirts. I should also get handy with fiberglass and bondo, too, really. |
Wow, those are nicely made. I actually went to the Vortex thread to see what comments were made about them. The next post was a defense. Still, I figure they haven't yet discovered EM as a source of pics for that thread :)

Sweet; that's what I WANT mine to look like; they won't but . . .
|
Wow, someone knew what they were doing.
|
I like this. Looks professial.
No other car forum would see the function or beauty of this. They all want the same things. FASTER, Better looking cars. I remeber someone posting about a Honda Insight saying something like " Yeah they would not be so bad if you put better rims and removed the rear tire covers." I now reflect and shake my head. |
I'm jealous....they look better than mine :(

these look really nice, but i think they'd look even better if the wheels underneath would be black... current alloys are designed to attract attention to the wheels, wich makes the fact they're covered all the more visible. all black rear wheels and solid moondiscs on the front wheels, maybe in body colors, would draw more attention to the cars overall lines and make it appear more as if it where floating... smaller front wheels and tighter wheel arches would also reduce the visual intrusion of the wheel in the overall lines of the car.

Picky, picky, picky...:p

i wasn't really refering to this guys great job, but more to a way how carmakers could produce cars with wheelskirts that didn't look too freakich for the average buyer to be affraight of them. although i think these days more and more people will buy whatever that's said to increase FE. |
Oh! *freakishly high squeal*
I've already passed the photo on to my wife for "manager approval". Wonder how much of a difference it makes to his FE? I am dying of envy here... :o |
Wow is right!
Now, where can I, I mean 'we', get these beauties? For a pair that look THAT good (factory color, featuring the molding and everything), I'd pay $500. Oh, and I'm currently running steelies, so I'd merely take my rear factory wheel covers off. :D |

scroll down the page halfway, the image i'm trying to point out is immediately below the first occurrence of the hideous Black Audi R8? with the orange stripe...look familiar anyone? |
there are some FUNNY things in that thread...
Fake RWD Escort was to much... and the Volvo with the huge double wing... I had to stop i was laughing to much.. As for the Wheelskirts - Ditto - those are sweet - but they do make it look very heavy. |
I'd like some of those with my 8th-gen Civic! Red please ;).
