EV Radio Program - listen to it

Hi everyone,

This morning, there was a radio call-in show about Electric Vehicles.
The Guest was Paul Scott, Vice-President of Plug-In America.

You can listen to the program for free through the Wisconsin Public Radio web site.

This should direct-link you to a RealMedia file:
http://clipcast.wpr.org:8080/ramgen/.../jca091229a.rm

If you are a WPR member, you can download an MP3 file of it.

Otherwise, if you need to search for it, it was Joy Cardin's show, program number 091229A

It was the 6:00 AM program, otherwise I would have called in!!! (I didn't find out about it until later in the day!)

Thanks for posting that. He's well spoken, doesn't come across as a zealot. Lots of common sense.

Yeah, it would have been GREAT if you could have called in: 10 grand for a conversion??? You would have set him straight! The host was put off by that number too. I just hope that someone doesn't give up an hopes of an electric car based solely on the cost. Also, it would have been nice if he gave some ACTUAL costs per month to charge a car. Wisconsin is probably at about 10 cents/KWh right? He just sort of went off on his "I have a solar panel and only pay $100/year for electricity" and never really answered. I think it would have been nice if he could say "if the rate is 10c/KWh and you drive 40 miles a day, your bill would be between $10-$25/ month". (I just totally made those numbers up, but I would research it before a radio show:p). But all that aside, it was very nice to hear a good piece on electric vehicles. Thank you for posting it....

Another radio program was on - This time about the X-Prize, but still mostly focused on electric cars.
