I remember reading some where that a few still exist one was saved and one was rebuilt from 3 destroyed EV1s. It could be true or someone built the car to be a replica.

Well, I hope I hear from Chelsea or the seller. The EVDL is talking on it, too.

I wonder if it has the now illegal NiMH batteries in it?

I'm suspicious. There were only 1117 ever made, I'm sure GM knows what happened to each one. Also the 3 photos in the ad are identical to photos on the wikipedia page.

Yep. I wanted to get it out to as many places as possible as quick as possible because I was pretty sure it was shenanigans, too.

'Registered as a kit car for obvious reasons'. Well, a prospective buyer couldn't complain if it turned out to be, like, a kit car.
